hey what do you guys think insurance agents make you guys know I made a hundred seventeen grand in nineteen you guys know that people that make a heck of a lot more money than that there's people that own billion-dollar insurance companies you guys know there's more millionaires in the financial services and insurance industry than any other industry in the world but what you don't know is hey wikipedia says the average agent pay annually is forty eight thousand dollars forty eight thousand dollars to be exact Glassdoor calm says 36k salary calm says 49,000 come home and we're better than that we're better than that we're ready to make more money than that you deserve more money than that you deserve a better life than that you make thirty forty fifty grand like that dudes it's gonna be tough ain't enough man I'm just here to tell you how does it work when you're an insurance agent and you want to get paid well period maybe you're in a PNC shop and you have a base and it's falling out of commission
maybe you're a captive agent maybe you're an independent agent you get paid off of a large decent a large percentage off the first 12 months of annual premium so say the client pays at the housing box that year say you're on a 80 percent commission level yeah you make eight hundred bucks at first year there's also and maybe you'll get advanced nine months and then get a portion you'll get advanced nine months of the premium of the Commission maybe you'll get some balance first year Commission's start coming in once the client pays their tenth eleventh and twelfth month and then you'll get some renewals for several years after that depending on whether it's life insurance final expense Medicare term at all varies but hey you want to get paid well you need to know what you're making compensation is really important because if you're in a spot where you're making 30 40 50 60 even 70 percent commission you're being underpaid I don't want to get into specifics I don't you know I don't talk about companies but I want to let you know that hey there's a better opportunity out there to make more money doesn't matter if it's with me there's a lot of other places that are just not matter that are awesome that can pay you more Commission but the key is you've got to know you've got to want to know and make more money
that's how agents get paid that's how our salary works or lack thereof because a lot of agents are hundred percent commission which is actually better believe it or not some people aren't comfortable Commission dude don't put me on no salary
give me some Commission give me a chance to earn some extra money yeah that's what that's what it's all about and so agent salaries they are not enough our pay isn't high enough your Commission may not be high enough but you need to know the ins and outs of how you give them in the structure of it and how much money can I know agents making
